How We Rate Mattresses

Every mattress in our database carries suitability scores across the factors that actually matter: sleep position, cooling, motion isolation, pressure relief, edge support, firmness feel, couples, heavier sleepers, durability, value for money and overall quality.

When you tell us how you sleep, we weight these scores against your answers to calculate a match percentage. The higher the weighting of a factor you care about, the more it influences your matches.

We do not claim to have physically tested a mattress unless we have actually done so and explicitly say this on the page. Otherwise our guidance is based on product specifications, research and available customer feedback, with the basis of the assessment made clear to readers.

We never let commission influence the order of your matches. Matches are calculated from your answers and the product database, and affiliate relationships only affect where you buy — not what we recommend.
